Converter Swiped from Bay Community Van

Bay Village Police report that the catalytic converter was cut out of the Community Services Bus. Here is the report:

On 01/10/2019, at 13:57 hours, an officer was dispatched to the Bay Village Service Department on the report of a theft. A city mechanic had received a call from the Community Services Director stating that the exhaust on their transportation bus was sounding very loud. When the bus was put up on the lift at the city garage, the mechanic realized that the catalytic converter had been cut out of the exhaust system. The bus had last been used on Friday, 01/04/2019, at 15:00 hours, and had been parked at its usual location on the northwest side of the Dwyer Memorial Senior Center over the weekend. A report was taken for insurance purposes.

Bigfoot Arrested

13-inch feet prevented sobriety tests from being performed on a 39-year old driver in Bay on Jan. 11. Police report that, “On 01/11/2019, at 03:35 hours, an officer stopped a white Jeep on East Oviatt at Canterbury for a traffic violation. After speaking to the driver, the officer suspected he was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs of abuse. The 39-year old from Brookpark provided a sample on the portable breath tester, with a result of .081 BAC. He was asked to exit the Jeep in order to perform field sobriety tests.  For the Walk-and-Turn portion, the driver said he did not believe he could do it because, “I have thirteen inch feet”. After failing the tests, he was placed under arrest, handcuffed and searched. During the search vape cartridges were found, which the driver confirmed contained THC. He will face multiple charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.”
