Meadowood Golf Club Welcomes PGA Jr. League

Youth Golf Program Registration Now Open

A new youth golf opportunity comes to the City of Westlake’s Meadowood Golf Club this year – the PGA Jr. League.

“Meadowood Golf Course is looking forward to opening our course to the PGA Jr. League this season,” Bob DeMinico, City of Westlake Recreation Director said. “The game of golf can teach youth important qualities such as respect and perseverance, and the PGA Jr. League is a wonderful addition to Meadowood Golf Course’s program offerings.”

Through the PGA Jr. League, youth ages 13 and under of all skill levels can play golf with expert coaching and guidance from PGA/LPGA Professional Captains. PGA Jr. League is committed to changing the way golf is learned and played, focusing on a fun and team-oriented approach.

The program consists of two practice sessions per week from 4-6 p.m., and Saturday morning matches, April 13 through May 18. Participants will compete on teams with friends in a fun, two-person scramble format in numbered jerseys.

Registration for this new opportunity is underway – the deadline is March 15. Classes begin indoors at Force Sports in Rocky River and Westlake starting March 25 through the second week of April. Classes then move to Meadowood Golf Course.
