SPECIAL EVENTS
- “Eleanor Roosevelt: More Than A Woman” – Monday, March 4; 1 p.m.: by Presentations with Pizzazz. Daughter, granddaughter, cousin, mother and mother-in- law explore this incredible woman’s relationships with the women in her life. They provide valuable insight into her accomplishments that continue to amaze, Call to reserve a spot 440-353-0828.
- Hearing Testing, March 7: Mobile Hearing Service will be providing free hearing testing on March 7; 1 – 3 p.m. Appointments take approximately 15 minutes, call the Senior Center at 353-0828 for an appointment. Any other service there is a charge.
- Wii Sports is coming to the Center soon! So hone those Wii skills. Come and play a variety of games, match your skills against other players in games such as: Just Dance, Wii Sport Resort, Bowling, Golf, Baseball, Tennis and more. Keep an eye open for further details or call the Senior Center at 353-0828. Thank you to N. Ridgeville Rotary Club for the donation of all the equipment.
- Men’s Breakfast 9 – 10 a.m. (priced at $3, reservations required): Breakfast includes a hot entrée, fruit, juice and coffee. Breakfast is held on the first & third Thursday of each month. March 7- Jerry Polizzi, Volunteer Road Scholar “Ambassador” presents “Adventures in Life Long Learning”
- Super Thursday, January 10; 12 p.m. ($5, reservations required): Spring is around the corner and we start our Super Thursday with a St. Patty’s Day celebration on March 14. Lunch will be served at noon and is still bargain price of $5.00 for a delicious Irish beef with garlic mashed potato and mixed vegetable, drink and entertainment. Reservations are needed but call in soon because these wonderful afternoons fill up fast. Call the front office at (440) 353-0828 to make your reservation.
- Women’s Brunch, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. (priced at $3, reservations required): Ladies meet for friendly conversation and program on the fourth Thursday of every month the Brunch is a hot entrée, fruit, juice and coffee for only $3. Our guest for the morning of March 28 will be announced.
- Spaghetti Dinner, April 26: 5 – 7 p.m.: Come and enjoy our famous meal of Spaghetti, sauce and meatballs, garlic bread and salad. Adults $7, seniors $6 and children 10 and under $4: dessert $1, pop $.50 extra and carry out is available.
Ongoing Programs
FITNESS:
- Exercise Class: Meets on Mondays from 9 to 9:50 a.m. The cost is $24 per 4 week session; items needed for class are 3# weights, stretch bands and a bottle of water.
- Balance Tai Chi: Tuesday’s 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.; $5 per class, to register for the class call 353-0828.
- Senior Yoga: Tuesday’s 10:40 – 11:40 a.m.; $5 per class, to register for the class 353-0828.
- Line Dancing: Every Tuesday, beginner’s class is at 11:50 a.m., intermediate at 1 p.m. Classes run in six week sessions for $25. Call to register 440-353-0828.
- Blood Pressure: Third Wednesday of every month 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Walk-ins first come, first serve.
Socialization, Lunch
- Bingo: Every Wednesday beginning at 9 a.m., 12 p.m. – lunch ($4, reservation required); 12:30-2 p.m. – Bingo.
- Mahjongg 12 noon – 3:00: The group meets on Thursday’s at 12 (noon) for instruction and game playing. A small fee for player’s card is required and instruction is FREE! (except second Thursday)
- Cards: Pinochle and Euchre enthusiasts’ gather every Thursday from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Center to play cards. No experience needed. Newcomers welcomed.
- **On the second Thursday of month play begins at 1:30 p.m.

- Great Lakes Theater “Taming of the Shrew” April 2: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Lunch will be your own at Burntwood Tavern; tour fare $25 due at time of booking.
