The WGC will celebrate the first day of spring with its first meeting of 2019 after the winter break. The event will start with a social time at 11:15 a.m. March 20 at the Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road. This will be followed by a discussion of club business at 11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be served at noon and will be followed by a program that will feature members gardening tips, ideas and questions. Club President Sally Knurek will give a brief presentation about growing orchids and Ruth Bertrand will speak about Moses Cleveland trees. The event is free and guests are welcome. No reservations are required.
