McKenna is a 2000 graduate of the school where, for the past 12 years, he has served leadership roles in admissions, marketing, curriculum creation, and the development of strategic initiatives.
“KC’s strategic thinking, intimate understanding of school operations, and his love for the St. Edward community separated him from the many talented and experienced candidates to whom our search committee gave thoughtful consideration,” said Jim Kubacki, president St. Edward High School. “He epitomizes our Holy Cross values as a servant leader and has demonstrated his readiness to lead our faculty and staff members in modelling and providing faith formation, personal excellence, relationships, and a commitment to servant leadership that we nurture in each of the students entrusted to our care.”
The 15th principal in the school’s nearly 70 history, McKenna will assume his new role beginning July 1. He replaces James Reed who served two years as principal, following his retirement from a long career in administration at Cleveland Heights Schools.
