Third-grade Social Studies students at Avon Heritage Elementary School are learning first-hand how to create a product, market and sell it. Every year during the Economics unit in the curriculum standards, the students become producers. They create their own products to “sell” to each other. Students must plan, budget, and create enough supply for at least 25 students. They also advertise their products before and earn money to be consumers on that day.
Four classes will be participating in the annual Market Day activity to present/sell their products on April 16 around 1 p.m. at Avon Heritage Elementary School (south entrance, 35600 Bentley Dr, Avon).
