Avon Hosts 5th Annual District Wide Festival of the Arts

Avon Isle was bustling Monday night as Avon Schools held their 5th annual District Wide Festival of the Arts.

Mayor Bryan Jensen and Supt. of Schools Mike Laub were on hand to personally award their winning choices among students entries from each class in the district. Hundreds attended to admire the works of one and all. All were winners!

“We are so fortunate to have a community that is so supportive in what we are doing for these kids – from the parents, to the principals, teachers, our Superintendent Michael Laub and Mayor Bryan Jensen,” said art teacher Kelley Lee. “And also for the Avon Endowment Fund and the Avon Isle for making the night such a success!  We know how busy schedules can get, and it says a lot to these kids that everyone made time to be there last night to support their passion. Having that family-community support means so much to our Art Department.”
