NEWS, NOTES & IMPORTANT DATES:

  • COSI on Wheelsvisited Goldwood on April 1. The program introduced dynamic science topics to students through interactive, hands-on activities.
  • The Kensington PTA Book Fair ran from April 1-4. The group hosted “Muffins With Mom” on April 4 from 7-8:30 am.
  • The RRHS Drama Department presented this years spring musical, Singin’ in the Rain, on April 4, 5 and 6. The show began at 7 pm each night in the RRHS auditorium.
  • The RRHS Academic Challengeteam competed in the North Coast Ohio Academic Challenge Regionals on April 6 at Solon HS. The team advanced to regionals by winning the GLC title with a 6-0 record.
  • The RRMS Band competed at the Ohio Music Education Association D4 Solo and Ensemble Contest on April 6 at Tri-C West.
  • The inaugural Kensington Kids and Community 5K Run was held on April 7. The race began at 9 am at Rocky River Park and ended at KIS where there was a cash-only bake sale.
  • Kensington hosted a Parent Coffee Talk on April 9 with Tim Piai on Creative Writing.
  • RRMS and RRHS Team Unify will host the Greater Cleveland Special Olympics basketball tournament in the RRHS gym on April 17 beginning at 9:30 am.
  • The RRMS Student Council conducted a Book Drive from April 8-12.
  • RRMS will host the 31st Annual Jazz Fest on April 15 at 7 pm in the Commons.
  • Beach Preschool will hold its Spring Party on April 18.
  • Spring Vacation will begin for all students on April 19 with classes resuming on April 29.
  • The RRMS Science Olympiad team qualified for the state tournament and will travel to Columbus for the competition on April 27 at Ohio State.
  • The Annual Bike to School Challenge will kick off on April 30 with a Bike Fair at RRMS from 6-7:15 pm.
