RRHS Drama Dept. Nominated for Seven Dazzle Awards

The Rocky River High School (RRHS) Drama Department received seven nominations for the 2019 Dazzle Awards presented by Pat & John Chapman, including a nomination for the Connor Family Best Musical (Tier 1) for the production of Singin’ in the Rain.

In addition, RRHS was nominated for Best Ensemble/Chorus, Best Choreography Execution, Best Costume Design, Best Scenic Design and Best Student Orchestra. Senior Owen Stickney was nominated for Best Featured Performer for his role as R.F. Simpson in Singin’ in the Rain.

Now in its fourth year, the awards ceremony recognizes outstanding musical theater productions and student performances in 14 categories. A panel of judges attend one production at each participating school, provide educational feedback and determine nominees and awards for participating schools.

The Dazzle Awards will take place on Saturday, May 18 at 7:30pm at the Connor Palace at Playhouse Square.
