University Hospitals St. John Medical Center pauses each year to assess and honor contributions made by staff for the work they do that goes the extra mile in serving patients and families at the Westlake Hospital.
This year, Maralyn Stavash, Clinical Nurse 3 South, was presented with the top honor. Associates, co-workers, family and staff were all on hand as this deserving award followed a long list of recognized nominees.
“Patient Experience Week is an annual national celebration for all hospitals and healthcare facilities across the US,” said Cindy Stec, MBA, RN, BSN, Patient Experience Manager UH St. John Medical Center.
“This is a great way to celebrate ALL of our team members, no matter what their role here at UH St. John Medical Center for the great work that they do for our patients!”
Honored as Runner-Up Patient Experience Champion was Lisa Kelly. Lisa works as a phlebotomist.
The lively event was followed by cake and fellowship as all nominees were celebrated. Chief Nursing Officer Cathy Knorzer even manned the cow-bell as names were announced and each nominee was recognized.
