Bistro 83 Named North Ridgeville ‘Business of the Year’

The Bistro 83 team welcomes you to their award winning restaurant, raw bar, wine bar and more!

In June, Bistro 83 was the proud recipient of the 2019 North Ridgeville Business of the Year award presented by the North Ridgeville Chamber of Commerce.

The award is given to one business every year for outstanding service, pride, leadership and achievement in the City. Bistro 83 opened its doors in June of 2013 and has been striving to be a visible part of the North Ridgeville community ever since.

Owner and local businessman William “Bud” Hagy has set a high standard for what he wants the restaurant to stand for. Bistro 83 strives to offer a unique, fine dining experience to its customers but with a relaxed, neighborhood atmosphere. Bistro 83 helps support a number of causes in the area including North Ridgeville Community Care, North Ridgeville schools, and other local, non-profit groups.

Ryan Schulthiess, Bud Hagy, June Yost of Community Care, Jeff Gresko, Chef Anthony Marto-rello, North Ridgeville Mayor David Gillock and Safety-Service Director Jeffrey Armbruster with the $2500 donation raised by Bistro83 for North Ridgeville Community Care.

“This award means so much to us, it reflects the hard work everyone here at Bistro 83 has contributed,” said owner William ‘Bud’ Hagy. “The honor belongs to each and every member of our staff. They are the ones who bring their best each and every day to our customers.”

Over the past year, Bistro 83 has opened a new bar area, a raw bar, and an addition to the existing structure called the Roundabout Room. The new bar area added an additional 40 seats to the existing restaurant and the Roundabout Room adds about 35. The Roundabout Room is often used for parties and other events including in the past year North Ridgeville Chamber of Commerce happy hour mixers and a fundraiser for Mayoral Candidate Kevin Corcoran.

Best of the West Award Winning bartender Jeff Gresko leads the weekly Friday afternoon Beer Cheer.

If you haven’t been to the restaurant in a while, you may also notice a revamped wine list. The updates were the work of Bistro 83’s Resident Sommelier Jim Fink who is in charge of planning the wine list, hosting wine tastings and talking wine with the customers. You’ll typically find Jim in the restaurant on most weekend evenings.

In addition to Business of the Year, Bistro 83 is proud to announce that Bar Manager Jeff Gresko won Cleveland Magazine’s 2019 Best Bartender on the West Side for the 3rd year in a row. If you are in the mood for a top-notch cocktail and good conversation, pull up a seat at our bar and see why Jeff has won 3 years in a row.
