A groovy time was had by all at the Moonlight in the City, an annual benefit to celebrate the heritage of Lutheran Hospital, a well known medical icon!
It was a 70’s extravaganza with disco balls, beads, silvery shimmering disco outfits, tie-dyed shirts, frilly vests and headbands! There was even a cutout of the classic VW Bus for photo ops behind the wheel. The classic 70’s era candies in Pet Rock boxes at tables took guests back in time too.
Great raffle prizes and a chance to pull a bottle of wine with a crisp $100 bill in it (of which there were 5, all found) kept people trying their luck to fuel the fundraising through the night.
Guests enjoyed the open bar & hors d’oeuvres as they checked out and bid on the wonderful silent auction and super silent auction prizes. Dinner included a nice wedge lettuce salad with bacon and bleu cheese, and Chicken Cordon Bleu with potatoes, veggies and rolls. The dessert/coffee bar was also enjoyed by all.
Dr. Kim Stearns rocked the venue with a power ‘do and ‘stache, slick disco shirt with white slacks and white platform shoes and won Best Threads of the night!
Disco Inferno kept the tunes playing and the folks dancing the night away!
