Avon Lake Troy Intermediate School Grade 5-6 Academic Challenge Team Wins First Place

Congratulations to the Avon Lake Troy Intermediate School Grade 5-6 Academic Challenge Team for a First Place finish at the Lorain County Middle School Academic Challenge Finals (Grade 5/6) sponsored by the Educational Service Center of Lorain County held at McCormick Middle School in Wellington today. Avon Middle School Grade 7/8 Academic Challenge Team finished in Second Place for the Grade 7/8 level.

Troy Students Learn to Knit, Make Items for CRS

Dozens of Troy Intermediate School students were busy during their lunch and recess times the past few weeks knitting hats, scarves, and making blankets to donate to Avon/Avon Lake Community Resource Services (CRS). Last week the students had the opportunity to deliver the items to CRS and learn more about all the good CRS does for those in need in the community.
