Westlake City School District is among the districts recognized by the State Board of Education for achieving high performance, outstanding progress and momentum for students.
Westlake is one of 27 school districts across the state recognized with the Overall A Award for earning an overall grade of A on the recent State Report Card. Individually, the former Bassett Elementary School and Lee Burneson Middle School are among 209 schools received Overall A Awards for earning an overall grade of A on the recent State Report Card. This is the second year LBMS has earned the award.
In addition, LBMS is one of 173 schools and Westlake is one of 48 school districts to earn the state board’s Momentum Award for exceeding expectations in student growth for the year. To earn this designation, schools must earn straight A’s on all Value-Added measures on the report card.
