The Heart of the Matter

The 31st Annual Community Resource Services Charity Ball was held on Saturday, January 25 at LaCentre Conference & Banquet Center.

Sponsored by GenOn, Jazzercise Avon Lake/Westlake, Performance Health and LaCentre Conference & Banquet Center, it was a night of celebrating the many ways that CRS has helped make a difference in the lives of income-eligible families living in Avon and Avon Lake.

This black-tie optional event featured a sit-down dinner, open bar, live music by The Midtown Band, dancing, raffles, auctions and many more ways to support CRS!

Community Resource Services is a responsive, community-based organization whose mission is to diminish the effects of poverty in Avon and Avon Lake. They provide basic needs assistance in a compassionate and confidential manner. Assistance with emergency food, utilities, rent and medical/prescription costs are a few of the services CRS provides through the support of this event.

This is the primary fundraiser for Community Resource Services. Over the past 30 years, this annual event has raised more than $1,183,000 for families in need. Saturday’s Charity Ball brought in over $71,000 net revenue toward their mission.
