On Friday, the Westlake Senior and Community Services Department provided Easter food baskets for individuals and families. The parking lot was used to help distribute packages of fresh fruits, dry goods, groceries and other produce by Senior and Community Service Department employees with the assistance the Recreation Center, Service Department and Police Department members. Each recipient also received a fresh bouquet of flowers to help brighten their day.
These items were collected by the hard working staff of the Westlake Food Pantry. Donations are made throughout the year to the pantry and more than ever, due to the current national health concerns, there has been an increased need by your neighbors. Donna Feorene would like to recognize the donation of flowers made by Trader Joe’s and the efforts of Giant Eagle in helping her fill the orders placed by the combined Community Service and Senior Center. Donations are continuing to be received and can be dropped off at the Community Service Center at 29694 Center Ridge Road or by calling (440)899-3544.
