66 Years: The Dr. Sam Sheppard House Revisited….

July 4, 2020 marked the 66th anniversary of Bay Village’s most notorious crime – the murder of Marilyn Sheppard. Much has been written on the murder of Dr. Sam Sheppard’s wife and the lifelong controversy over Dr. Sam’s guilt or innocence that followed. The house where the murder took place stood at 28944 Lake Road in Bay Village. It was torn down in 1993 to make way for a newer home built by another family. The Villager was there the day the Sheppard house was demolished. Here is a photo from our archives of this now-vanished scene of Bay Village history.
