This holiday season the Eastview Elementary Student Council in Avon Lake sponsored a local branch of the Foster Love Project (headquartered in Pittsburgh). The collection was organized by Reid Judkins, 10, fourth-grade student. She was looking for an organization to help with her family and they came across Foster Love Project.
The school is donating items to Lorain County Children Services for foster children. The school called the collection campaign ‘Foster Love.’ Students collected small duffle bags and backpacks, along with new items foster children need such as personal hygiene products, small blankets, stuffed animals, art supplies, socks, small toys or anything else you think a child would need and enjoy. A generous donation of drawstring bags, with the Eastview Cares logo printed on them, was also received. www.fosterloveproject.org
