Saturday, January 2 (9 a.m.-6 p.m.) Mystery STEAM Bag Challenge Supply Pick Up – Pick up your Mystery STEAM Bag Supplies at the Drive-Up Window on or after January 2. Each bag contains mystery craft materials and a challenge card. Use the materials to complete the design challenge and share with us on Zoom! Grades 1 and 2. Please register; registering to pick up materials also registers you for the Zoom event on January 9 at 11 a.m.
Saturday, January 2 (2-2:45 p.m.) STEAM Maker Lab: Health and Fitness (Live) – Join us on Zoom to make models of two human organ systems and a medical device! Grades 3-5. Please Note: You must register for the STEAM Maker Lab: Health and Fitness Supply Pick Up starting December 61 to be registered for this program. Please provide an email address to receive Zoon instructions.
Monday, January 4 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Teen Craft Pick Up – Come to the Drive-Up Window to pick up a craft kit while supplies last. Grades 7-12.
Monday, January 4 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Tween Craft Pick-Up – Come to the Drive-Up Window starting today for a tween craft kit. Grades 4-6. While supplies last. Registration begins December 28.
Monday, January 4 (11-11:30 a.m.) Suma Plays a Game – Join us on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube to play a game and read with Suma!
Monday, January 4 (2-2:30 p.m.) Vision Boards (Live) – Creating a vision board puts all your dreams, goals, and aspirations directly in front of you. For teens and adults with special needs. No experience necessary. Caregivers welcome. Please register. You will need to register for and pick up vision board supplies from the library. Supply pick up begins December 28. You must provide an email to receive Zoom information, which will be sent on the day of the event.
Tuesdays, January 5 and 12 (11-11:30 a.m.) and Wednesday, January 13 (6:30-7 p.m.) Family Storytime (Live) – Join us on ZOOM for an interactive storytime featuring books, rhymes, songs and movement. For families with children up to 2-6, siblings welcome. Please register. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions on the day of the program.
Tuesday, January 5 (7-8 p.m.) Silent Reading Book Club (Live) – Have you been meaning to read more? Join other teens in grades 7-12 via Zoom for a dedicated hour to silently read. Bring your own book. Registration begins December 29.
Wednesday, January 6 (6:30-8:30 p.m.) Horror Film Club: Online Edition – Are you scared yet? The Horror Film Club returns for another online viewing! New members are always welcome, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Please register. Due to an abundance of caution surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Horror Film Club will meet online using the video sharing site Watch2Gether. To participate, please check the event on the library’s website as early as 6 p.m. on the day of the program. There will be a link to take you to the site. Please note: You do not need an account with Watch2Gether to participate.

Thursdays, January 7 and 14 (3:30-4:30 p.m.) WPPL Roblox Club – Love Roblox? Then WPPL has a club for you! We have some private servers set up for Tweens in grades 4-6 to hang out with their friends and enjoy some of the most popular games via Zoom. Please register.
Monday, January 11 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Kids in the Kitchen Supply Pick Up and Program – Pick up a recipe kit starting January 11, then tune into the live kitchen demo on January 18 at 3 p.m.! Registering for this event also registers you for the ZOOM program. An email must be provided so you can receive ZOOM information on the day of the meeting. For children ages 8-12 with special needs and peers who may not be successful in a typical hands-on program. If your child has food allergies, please contact the Youth Services Department at 440-250-5471. Each simple recipe is presented with minimal steps and uses inexpensive, easy-to-find tools and ingredients.
Monday, January 11 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Crafty Adults Supply Pick Up – Make a craft project of your own with this simple pick-up kit. For adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities. While supplies last. No previous crafting experience necessary. Some household items, such as glue, scissors, or markers will not be included. All other craft items will be supplied. Contact the department at 440-250-5471 if you need an alternate pick up option.
Monday, January 11 (7-8:30 p.m.) Maker Monday: Smart Home Devices on Zoom (Live) – Learn about Amazon Echo, Google Home and Nest, plus other smart home devices in this Zoom meeting! Please register.
Tuesday, January 12 (1-3 p.m.) Career Transition: Time for Reinventing Yourself? (LIVE) – Do you have a plan for the post pandemic future yet? Did you lose your job this past year? Does your old job still exist? Are you close to retirement or able to cut back on work hours? Is it time to make a change if you are still connected to your last organization? Everyone’s needs are different. Let’s look at steps to reinvent yourself for a better future. Please register. Participants must provide an email to receive Zoom instructions for joining the meeting.
Tuesday, January 12 (7-8:30 p.m.) Tuesday Evening Book Discussion (Live) – Join the WPPL Tuesday Evening Book Club on Zoom for a discussion of The Daughters of Erietown by Connie Schultz. Please REGISTER to receive a Zoom invitation and instructions. Participants without a computer, tablet or smartphone can join using a traditional phone.
Wednesday, January 13 (4-5 p.m.) Teen Writers Group (Live) – An online meet up for teens in grades 7-12. This is an hour to just write, with the last 15 minutes reserved for any writer in need of some group brainstorming. Please register. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions, which will be sent the day of the program.
Friday, January 15 (4-4:30 p.m.) Cup of Science (Live) – Join Miss Holly on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube for a fun video on Snowy Science!
Saturday, January 16 (9 a.m.-6 p.m.) Dragon Appreciation Day Craft Pick Up – Stop by the Drive-Up Window to pick up a craft kit to celebrate Dragon Appreciation Day! While supplies last.
Saturday, January 16 (11-11:30 a.m.) Adapted Storytime (Live) – Join us for this ZOOM storytime designed for children who may not be successful in a typical storytime. Content is geared toward ages 3-7 years. Registration begins January 9. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions, which will be sent the day of the program.
