The Westlake Fire Department and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health worked together today to distribute Covid-19 vaccines to upwards of 700 EMS personnel and first responders from multiple West Side suburbs, including Bay Village, Lakewood, North Olmsted, Rocky River, Westlake and more.
The first responders who administered the vaccines wore PPE, including M95 masks, and were vaccinated beforehand.
Westlake Fire Chief Jim Hughes and Mayor Dennis M. Clough offered a few words about the event in a video that can be viewed on the city’s Community Access Channel, along with other information about recent news within the city. CCBH Communications Officer Kevin Brennan said more drive-through events of a similar nature will be held in the months ahead.
