Westlake Schools Green & White Revue is Back!

Molly G. is one of the many talented participants in the 35th Green and White Revue renewed this year by the Westlake Schools PTSA.

Come one and all to watch Westlake’s Green and White Revue!

The Green and White Revue is Westlake PTSA’s biggest fundraiser.

Last year, this typically sold-out show was cancelled due to the pandemic.

“We were determined that this year the show must go on,” says Nicole Sauer, who shares event co-chair duties with Lisa Scaggs.

This year, a virtual show will be aired on the Green and White Revue YouTube channel on Saturday, April 10 at 7 p.m. It is a free event for everyone to view. It is the 35th year for the Revue.

The Green and White Revue is Westlake’s talent show and biggest fundraiser for the high school. It funds scholarships for graduating seniors and programming for the student body.

The revue showcases the talent of Westlake students ranging in age from 1st grade through 12th grade. Of many students who auditioned, 28 acts were chosen.

“As is tradition, we have 3 Westlake high school seniors emceeing it, and we have lots of talent. There are many different types of acts including many types of singers and dancers, musicians, gymnasts, an artist, and even a magician,” reports Sauer.

The delivery of the show had to be modified due to the pandemic. Instead of being viewed live in person, it will be recorded and released on the Green and White Revue YouTube channel.

“We realize that many people have been affected by the pandemic and we don’t want to exclude anyone from seeing the talent due to lack of funds. Instead, we have set up a website where people can make donations if anyone would like to show support for the show.

“The website is https://my.cheddarup.com/c/green-and-white-revue. Donations and raffle ticket purchases will be available through April 26. A winner will be drawn live at the WHS PTSA meeting at 7 p.m. The winner need not be present to win.

You will be able to download a program to follow along. We hope you tune in. It is going to be great.”
