Westlake’s Austin Norris Named SWC Boys Track MVP

At the SWC meet last week, Austin put on a show as he won the 200 meter dash, High Jump, and the 300 meter intermediat hurdles. He also took 2nd in the 110 meter high hurdles to help the Demons take 2nd place as a team.

Austin will be sharing the MVP title with Avon senior distance runner Jett Weiber, who also won 3 events and placed 2nd in another.  Weiber won the 800m, placed 2nd in the 1600m, and was part of the winning 4×400, and 4x800m relays.

This will be the second track season in a row that a Westlake athlete was named Track MVP after Kevin Walls won it in 2019.
Austin will be competing in Districts this week at Amherst Steele High School.
