Steven M. Rini has been a member of the Community West Foundation Board of Directors since 2014 where he serves on both the Community Engagement and Grants Committees. He succeeded his late father, Charles Rini, Sr., who had a long tenure with the Foundation. “I am proud to support Community West because of the tremendous impact it has on the community,” he commented.
Mr. Rini grew up in Fairview Park and attended St. Ignatius High School before he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Boston College. After graduating, he started working for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Dallas, TX. He transferred to the Cleveland office a year later and has worked there ever since. While continuing to work fulltime, he enrolled in the weekend MBA program at the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 2012.
Mr. Rini currently holds the position of Senior Resident Director & Senior Vice President managing a team of 40+ people and around $4.9 Billion in assets. In 2018, he was named one of the Top 10 Branch Managers in the United States, as published On Wall Street.
Mr. Rini also sits on the Board of Regents at Saint Ignatius High School and was previously on the Board of Directors for the West Side Catholic Center. Mr. Rini is also a member of the Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation. He and his family are long-time supporters of Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. He and his 5 siblings established a scholarship at St. Ignatius in their father’s name. They also sponsor an annual food drive, The Rini Family Christmas Food Drive. For more than 80 years, students have planned and executed the massive Christmas food drive, whereby the St. Ignatius community donates, “4 cans, 4 dollars, 4 others,” to fill 700 baskets that are delivered to needy families on the Saturday before Christmas.
Mr. Rini and his wife, Natalie, reside in Westlake and have two children, Grace and Charlie, who attend school at St. Bernadette’s. A member of Westwood Country Club, he enjoys playing golf, coaching youth basketball and traveling.
