Avon Fire: Time to Remember

Everyone says ‘Never Forget,’ but when we take time to ‘Remember’, it means something. Thank you to Avon’s Dave Winter & the Avon Fire Department for helping us remember 9/11.

Winter, a former FDNY member & NYPD officer, has loaned us a special treasure to display during our city’s 9/11 ceremony of remembrance. It’s a cherished print of his fellow 343 New York City Fire Department colleagues who made the supreme sacrifice in the performance of duty at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Each member of the FDNY who served on Sept 11 received a limited edition of this precious memorial keepsake. Winter, who retired from FDNY in 2005 and moved his family to Avon soon thereafter, has graciously chosen to share the print with the Avon community to view during our hometown ceremony.
