Congratulations to Avon for winning the SOUPer Bowl XI Food Drive!!
They were presented with the SOUPer Bowl trophy at halftime of the Avon vs. Avon Lake varsity football game on Friday night. Both communities together collected 5,200 pounds of food and a record $20,945 in monetary donations for Community Resource Services!!
“Thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered to make this such a successful event! We are so grateful for your overwhelming support!,” said CRS Director Pam Ohradzansky.
The SOUPer Bowl is a friendly competition between community members in Avon and Avon Lake to see who can collect the most food for the CRS on-site food pantry.
The winner of the food drive competition is announced at half time of the Avon vs. Avon Lake varsity football game and is presented with the SOUPer Bowl Trophy.
Food donations could be dropped off at any school in Avon or Avon Lake, or at the CRS office. CRS also accepts cash donations all year around. Each $1 contributed will be counted as 5 pounds of food.
