As a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, Westlake Chinese School is a pivot force in Chinese Language and Culture education on the west side of Cleveland. Equipped with more than 30 years of experience and Chinese Community support, we are excited to announce our Introductory Chinese Language Class for adults (15 and older).
Instructor Ms. Shuangshuang Liu is a certified Chinese Teacher at Avon High School and Lorain Community College. This course focuses on introducing essentials of Chinese Language to beginners. At the end of the course, you can expect:
- Speaking: communicate using isolated words and memorized phrases
- Writing: write a modest number of Chinese words and phrases
- Listening: recognize and begin to understand high-frequency, highly contextualized words and phrases
- Reading: read a limited number of Chinese characters and apply Pinyin to the characters learned or vice versa
- Textbook: Integrated Chinese: Simplified Characters Textbook, Level 1, Part 1 (English and Chinese Edition) 3rd Edition

Class will be in session every Saturday from 11am to 12pm at Lee Burneson Middle School. Each session costs $10, minimum commitment of 20 sessions required for registration. First two sessions are complementary if you decide not to register.
