A family tradition since 1850, the Ohio State Fair took place at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus from July 27 – August 7, 2022 and showcased entertainment, food vendors, a midway, natural resources park, and youth agricultural competitions. The 4-H program has been at the fair since 1914, and the All-Ohio State Fair Band since 1925.
We are proud of the members of the North Ridgeville Ridge Kids who represented Lorain County at the Ohio State Fair through a variety of 4-H projects and as a member of the All-Ohio State Fair Band. Two members also received Outstanding of the Day awards in their project areas.
Below is a story with further information submitted by club member, Caitlyn Suhie, Columbia Station resident, age 13.

Seven members of the Ridge Kids 4-H Club participated in the Ohio State Fair from July 27 to August 7: Patrick and Zachary Bibb and Peyton Orlando-Gibbons, who showed swine, and Caitlyn Suhie who partook in the Family Life Day. Another member, Ashley McDowell, played clarinet in the All-Ohio State Fair Band at the grounds in Columbus. Finally, two more members received an Outstanding of the Day award, Duncan McDowell for Exploring Polar Science and Jillian Farman for Insect Adventures 2. All of these members of the North Ridgeville Ridge Kids worked hard to be selected as the top of their project area in Lorain County.
