Westlake Girls cross-country took 3rd last weekend at the prestigious Tiffin Distance Carnival as Sarah Peer won 3rd title of the season.
Despite being down two key Varsity runners (Freshman Julia Richards & Senior Sydney Peer), the WHS Girls XC team was able to pull off a 3rd place finish and Junior Co-Captain Sarah Peer was able to take home her 3rd 1st place trophy of the season. Sarah finished with a time of 18:08, becoming the 3rd Westlake champ in team history (Foley, ’86; Taylor, ’88) and set yet another WHS course record taking the top spot of all-time finishes.
Junior Ellie Irwin who ran a 19:43 and Junior Co-Captain Christina Ware who ran a 19:50 are also now added to the WHS top-time Tiffin Carnival finishes at #2 and #4 respectively. The two packed together the entire race finishing 9th & 11th.
