What a great day on the track and in the field for the Bay Village boys! A full team effort in this one! More than a few stand out performances:
Jaden Perrine kicked things off in the 100m with a 3rd place finish in 11.08!! He came back and dominated the 200m with a win, 4th in the Long Jump and a win in the 4x100m.
Fantastic effort from Liam O’Leary who literally RAN from the high school after the ACT and jumped in to anchor the 4x200m to a 3rd place finish, then anchored for the win in the 4×100 AND then came right back in his first ever open 400m to finish 2nd place! That’s a tough triple there! Warrior effort!
James Chilton leads off the 2nd place 4x800m in a great leg and then comes back and grabs some more points in the open 800m finishing 6th. Boys 4×800 of James Chilton, Kieran Ripley, Iain Ray and Roan Williams.
Boys 4x100m wins in 43.80! Charles Rice, Jaden Perrine, Jace Knapp and Liam O’Leary. The 4×200 finished 3rd with a time of 1:33.51!! Charles Rice, Jack Kruger, Jace Knapp, Liam O’Leary!!! Parts of the track are still smoking!
Michael Hanselman battleled in the mile to finish 2nd and then came back in the 3200m to finish 3rd place! HOT day – great effort!
A big day for Jace Knapp and Charles Rice! Jace finished 2nd in the long jump, a win in the 4×100, 3rd in the 4×200 and 8th in the high jump! Charles with a win in the 4×100, 3rd in 4×200 and 7th in the 200m. Great job!
Amazing effort from Brandon Knaack who is working through some injuries – steps up and gets the team 13 big points with a 2nd in the discus and 4th in shot put!
Jason Houk who was 2nd in the high jump!
The hurdle duo of Jack Downing and Elliot Trefz ran well in the 110m and 300m hurdles contributing 9 team points! Elliot can pole vault too! Finishing 2nd place!
Late in the meet, in a tight team race with Chardon at the time we needed all the points we could get in the 800m. Against two very good 800m kids from Chardon, Will Dunstan knew the team needed him and he delivered bringing home an important 10 points! Great race – great win Will!
