Homecoming in Avon Lake is always special!
Homecoming 2023 continued the spirit of community in a big way last weekend with a number of memorable events.
Another successful Homecoming parade took place the morning of Sat., Sept. 23. Thank you to everyone for participating and coming out on a glorious Saturday morning to show your Shoremen pride!
Congratulations, also, to Avon Lake’s Homecoming Royalty, King and Queen, seniors Clay Broadhurst and Anna Arnold, crowned before the Mighty Shoremen met visiting Amherst in Friday night’s football game.
The Avon Lake Mighty Shoremen Marching Band also deserves a huge shout-out for amazing performances at the school on Homecoming Friday, at the football game halftime show and in the Saturday parade from Bleser Park.
Lastly, no homecoming would be complete without a win from the football team. The victorious Shoremen obliged in fine style with a 33-27 win over Amherst. The Shoremen improved to 5-1 with the victory.
