Come one, come all and join Bay’s nationally recognized BMXer Huck Kurinsky on Sunday, Oct. 8 at Bay Lodge at 492 Bradley Road. The event, a fundraiser for Pediatric Cancer research, will have plenty of giveaways and promises to be a great day!
“Join my team and come ride with all my friends Sunday, October 8th at 1pm at The Bay Lodge,” invites Huck.
“We are going to have tons of giveaways and FREE helmets to hand out. Register to ride or donate to my team and help raise money for pediatric cancer research at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital.
Huck is the defending USA BMX Freestyle National Champion in Men’s 8 and Under, and current Youth Ambassador for Huffy Bicycles in Dayton. Huck attends 3rd grade in Mrs. Evans class at Westerly Elementary school in Bay Village. He attends Bethesda on the Bay Lutheran Church and plays soccer for Bay Soccer Club and The Force.
Trained by current Olympian and Cleveland native, Nick Bruce, Huck broke a world record at age 6 as the youngest person to successfully land a backflip on a BMX bike. Huck represents a number of charitable organizations aimed at getting more kids on bikes and keeping them safe, including the Ohio Pediatrics Association “Put a Lid on It” program.
Huck Kurinsky will be riding in memory of his “Gamma” Susan Althoff, who died of Stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer on Memorial Day 2021. Huck frequently accompanied his grandma to the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center to cheer her on, as she received exceptional care for nearly 2 years. Huck is also riding for Bob Stomel, Director of Sales, at Huffy Corporation, who connected him with Huffy.
