Area firefighters were called on to respond to a large fire on one of the worst weather days of the year last Friday, Jan. 19.

Fire had broken out at Bullfrogs Sports Cafe at 33137 Center Ridge Road in North Ridgeville. It was a day where folks were advised to stay home and off the streets. But firefighters sucked it up as always and responded en force.

H-6 photography was on hand to document the courageous efforts. “With the threat of the fire traveling down the roofline, extra companies were assigned to this fire,” reported H-6. “Pulsepoint shows Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Elyria, North Olmsted, Olmsted Township, Olmsted Falls, Rocky River, Sheffield Village and Westlake. Waiting for a confirmation on departments that responded. I am unaware of any injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.”

Said Bullfrogs on Facebook, “….though we have very little information as of yet, we wanted to take a second to thank everyone for your concerns, the most important thing is that all staff members are safe. Due to this unfortunate event Bullfrogs will be closed until further notice. We thank you all for being loyal guests and hope to see you all soon.

At the end of the day, all are grateful for the efforts of firefighters and safety forces who braved blizzard conditions to battle this unfortunate blaze.
