Avon/Avon Lake VFW Post 7035 Memorial Day Parade – Parade begins at 9 a.m. from the Senior Center on Detroit Rd and ends at the Veterans Memorial next to Aquatic Center. Memorial Service to commence immediately after parade.
WESTLAKE
Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony – The Westlake Kiwanis Club’s annual Memorial Day parade typically departs on the last Monday of May at 10 a.m. from St. Peter & George Coptic Orthodox Church, located on Hilliard Boulevard and proceed to Clague Park. A ceremony honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country will then follow. AVON LAKE
Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony – The parade will be held at 10 a.m. with a ceremony following at 10:45 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
BAY VILLAGE
March from the Huntington Beach Lot to Lakeside Cemetery beginning at 8:45am
American Legion Post 385, with assistance from VVA Chapter 249, has organized a parade and formal observance to honor those who served our country and gave their lives to support our freedom.
Stepping off from the Huntington Beach lot, the parade will march west on Lake Road to Lakeside Cemetery, where a brief ceremony will include morning prayer and recognition of the city founders who served our country. The parade will resume east on Lake to Cahoon Road where they will turn south to end at the Gazebo for a short ceremony to recognize local honorees and community leaders at approximately 9:45 a.m.
Events will conclude approximately 11 a.m. The community is invited to attend these ceremonies and encouraged to line the parade route along Lake and Cahoon Road; please provide proper respect for these solemn events, as they are in remembrance of those lost while serving our country.
Immediately following the parade and ceremonies, the Bay Village Foundation will host their annual public ceremony honoring individuals, living or deceased, who have been remembered by friends and family by dedicating and installing a personalized, engraved bronze plaque on the T. Richard Martin Footbridge overlooking Lake Erie in Cahoon Memorial Park. For more Information on The Bay Village Foundation visit their website.
NORTH RIDGEVILLE
Memorial Day Parade and Service – Parade will step off at 9:45 a.m. departing the North Ridgeville High School, proceeding west on Bainbridge Road to the Senior Center. Ceremony will take place at the conclusion of the parade in front of Safetyville on Bainbridge Road.
