A Royally Good Time at the North Ridgeville Skunk Fest

What’s a Skunk Fest, you may ask? Well, it’s a festival for skunks and it’s held each September in North Ridgeville’s South Central Park as a way for skunk lovers and skunk owners from everywhere to share some fun and discussions about skunks. This year’s fest was held Sept. 14. All Skunks were welcome although you did not need to be a skunk owner to attend.

For those who love skunks, this is the most exciting event of the year. Skunk merch, DJ, food and beverages fuel the day, climaxed by the thrilling Skunk Fest king & queen and prince & princess contest.

Shannon Horvat of Euclid and her chocolate skunk Flash came out smelling like a rose as Flash was crowned King of the Fest.

The Fest also serves as a fundraiser for Skunk Haven, a Skunk rescue organization. Want to learn more? Check out Skunk Haven at https://www.skunkhaven.net/.
