A Call for 2025 Avon Lake Citizen of the Year and Project of the Year Nominations

The Avon Lake Community Council is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Avon Lake Citizen of the Year as well as Project of the Year. Both nominations are for those individuals or groups that have significant involvement in and dedication to, the community of Avon Lake.

Nominees for Citizen of the Year must be an Avon Lake resident who has provided significant community service as a volunteer, without monetary reward. The nominee may, but is not required to, belong to a service organization.

The Project of the Year nominees may be an individual or a group. The award is given to a project which merits community-wide recognition for its positive impact on the community and residents of Avon Lake.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, March 31st, 2025. Nomination forms are available at the Avon Lake Public Library, as well as Avon Lake City Hall. Completed forms can be emailed to mofenway@gmail.com or mailed to Martin O’ Donnell, Project/Citizen of the Year, 560 Brennans Court, Avon Lake, OH 44012. Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, the Citizen of the Year and Project of the Year will be honored and recognized at a special evening awards program at the Avon Lake Public Library.
