Local High School Drama Clubs Nominated for Dazzle Awards

The 2025 Dazzle Awards Ceremony will take place on May 17, 2025, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the KeyBank State Theatre.

Bay’s ‘The Music Man’ Nominated for SEVEN Dazzle Awards

Bay High School’s production of Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man” is up for SEVEN Dazzle Awards! This spring musical involved more than 115 students (including Bay Village elementary and middle school students), months of rehearsals and three of four sold-out performances!

“The Music Man” received six nominations, including Best Choreography Execution, Best Student Orchestra, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Ensemble/Chorus and Best Supporting Actor (Logan Cerrito as Mayor Shinn). Keller Shea (woodwinds) was named one of five Musical Apprentices.

Avon’s Les Miserables Nominated for Six Dazzle Awards

Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards presented by Pat and John Chapman and supported by PNC have released their 2025 Dazzle Award Nominees! AHS has SIX nominations! Avon High School production of Les Miserables School Edition was nominated for Best Orchestra, Best Costume Design, Best Technical Execution and Best Scenic Design.

Congratulations to SARAH BAHR and CHRISTIAN LEE who were nominated for BEST ACTRESS for her role as Madame Thenardier and BEST ACTOR for his role as Jean Valjean in the AHS production of Les Miserables School Edition.

Avon Lake’s Anastasia Nominated for Several Dazzle Awards

The Avon Lake High School Drama Club recently joined prestigious company by receiving four nominations for their incredible performance of Anastasia: The Musical this past Spring, including categories for Best Ensemble/Chorus, Best Costume Design, Best Scenic Design, and Best Technical Execution. Modeled after the Tony Awards®, the Dazzle Awards recognize excellence in high school musical theater while celebrating the significant impact of musical theater and arts-education in Northeast Ohio. A curated panel of independent judges attends one performance of participating schools each year to provide instructive feedback and grant scores which are used to determine nominations in twelve different awards categories.

Avon Lake will join a record breaking thirty-eight high schools from seven Northeast Ohio counties to be honored at the awards program.
