Westlake Food Pantry Update

We’ve seen a few recent anonymous posts on Facebook claiming that the Westlake Food Pantry has not provided help to certain individuals. We take these concerns seriously and want to respond openly and clearly.

The Westlake Food Pantry is committed to helping any Westlake resident facing hardship. We work hard to ensure everyone is treated with dignity, compassion, and fairness. If anyone feels we haven’t met their needs, we encourage them to contact us directly—we’re always ready to listen and help.

Sadly, we are also aware that scammers sometimes use platforms like Facebook to take advantage of community generosity or to spread misinformation. We urge residents to be cautious when responding to anonymous requests. The best way to help is by supporting verified organizations like ours.

The pantry serves Westlake residents with household income below 200% of the federal poverty level—but we never turn away someone truly in need. Whether you’re facing a one-time emergency or ongoing difficulties, we’re here to help ensure no one in our community goes hungry.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you or someone you know needs food assistance. We’re fueled by community donations and here to serve with integrity.
