Westlake Porter Public Library’s Summer Library Challenge Begins June 1

Westlake Porter Public Library challenges residents of all ages to join its annual Summer Library Challenge by reading or listening to books each day this summer. The Summer Library Challenge begins June 1 and continues through August 1. This year’s theme is “Level Up at Your Library.” In addition to reading, there will be side quests and a variety of special programs, including the annual STEAM Week (July 14-18).

 For every five days of reading participants will earn tickets for the grand prize drawings. After 15 days of reading participants will earn a halfway prize. Patrons who read for 30 days earn a final prize. Completing optional side quests like going to a local playground, listening to a podcast, completing a puzzle, stargazing, and many more earns participants extra grand prize tickets.

 The Summer Library Challenge is sponsored by the Friends of Porter Public Library, the Cleveland Monsters, the Cleveland Charge, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Dean’s Greenhouse, Fresh Fork Market, the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, the Ohio State Fair and Rust Belt Riders.
