Second Annual Heart & Sole Community Scavenger Hunt Returns to North Ridgeville

North Ridgeville Heart & Sole health collaborative invites North Ridgeville residents to participate in a community scavenger hunt. The three-week long scavenger hunt begins June 7 and ends on June 28. Up to 50 teams can participate and each team can include up to five players. No cost to register. The scavenger hunt is family-friendly and all ages are encouraged to join. The missions (activities) will be shared and completed digitally on Goosechase, an app available on all smartphones.

Missions include: visiting parks and businesses, attending free fitness classes, and answering trivia questions and riddles around North Ridgeville. Players do not need to be a North Ridgeville resident to participate. New missions will be shared weekly on June 7, June 14, and June 21 on the Goosechase app.

How to participate:

  1. Form your team (2-5 players).
  2. Have each team member download the Goosechase iOS or Android app.
  3. Have each team member sign up for an account (or play as a guest).
  4. Search for this Experience by code B699YE or name (2025 North Ridgeville Heart & Sole Community Scavenger Hunt). – Once you find this Experience, tap “Let’s Go!”.
  5. Create your team, and then tap “Join this Experience”. Have your team members join your team.
  6. Lastly, set yourself apart with a name and photo and click “Save”. (Optional).
  7. Enable app notifications to get important reminders, alerts, and messages for the best experience.
  8. Be ready to start missions with your team on June 7 at 10 a.m.

The team with the highest amount of points based on missions completed will be the grand prize winner and will receive up to $400 in gift cards to local North Ridgeville businesses. All team members who receive 50% of the allocated points  will be entered into a raffle drawing to win a gift certificate to the Aut-O-Rama Twin Drive-In Theatre in North Ridgeville. Winners will be notified by email July 7.

Ranger Service Learning students at North Ridgeville High School helped plan, design and promote the scavenger hunt. This is the second year Heart & Sole has organized and hosted a community scavenger hunt. This free event aims to foster social connections, showcase North Ridgeville’s unique amenities, explore ways to keep active, and support the local community.

Heart & Sole is a community-based group powered by the United Way of Greater Lorain County and facilitated by Lorain County Public Health.
