Westlake Honors Good Samaritans

On Tuesday, at WPD’s Promotion Ceremony, Mayor Clough and Chief Bielozer recognized 4 special citizens for their life saving actions on 11/17/2024. The men worked together to save the life of a motorist who was involved in a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the vehicle catching on fire. Stopping to help and removing the driver from the dangerous situation was courageous and deserving of the Proclamations presented by the Mayor. Jaafari Khalid received his award in person while the other recipients, although not able to make the ceremony, will be recognized at a later time. Great job.

Tuesday, September 9 Mayor Clough swore in Capt. Morales, Lt. Lea and Sgt Podulka. Congratulations to the newly promoted members of the WPD! Well deserved.
