15th Annual SOUPer Bowl Food Drive

Community Resource Services is proud to announce the 15th Annual SOUPer Bowl Food Drive on Friday, October 17th. The food drive will be held at the Avon vs. Avon Lake Varsity Football Game at Avon’s Westland Heating/Air Condition & Plumbing Stadium, 3075 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon.

The SOUPer Bowl is a friendly competition between community members in Avon and Avon Lake to see who can collect the most food by weight. We will also be accepting cash donations. Each $1 contributed will be counted as 5 pounds of food. All donations will directly benefit families in Avon and Avon Lake through our onsite food pantry and financial assistance for emergency expenses. The winner of the food drive competition will be announced at half time and will be presented with the SOUPer Bowl Trophy.

Since its inception in 2010, the SOUPer Bowl Food Drive has collected 87,325 pounds of food and $202,675 in monetary donations.

Items can be dropped off at all schools in Avon and Avon Lake, the CRS office (33479 Lake Road, Suite C, Avon Lake), or you can bring your donations to the football game on October 17th. Please go to www.aalcrs.org for more information.
