Christ Church Westshore 2025 Annual Pet Fest/Blessing

Christ Church Westshore will host its Annual Pet Fest/Blessing on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 726 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake from 1-3 p.m. All pet lovers and friends from across Northeast Ohio are invited to bring their on-leash pet for blessing by the Reverend Gene Sherman, the Rector of Christ Church Westshore and to visit our over thirty pet-related vendors.

Continuing a fun tradition, this year will feature a visit by the Prayers for Maria ice cream truck and includes vendors and organizations such as dog rescues, a horse sanctuary, bunnies, pet sitters/walkers, doggie day cares, and other pet vendors/retailers. There will also be drawings for prizes and a raffle with proceeds going to the dog rescues. “We’re so excited to host this free event to invite the Westshore of Cleveland to come for a couple of hours on St. Francis Day Oct. 4th! Bring your pet along for a blessing prayer and visit among the vendors about how we might steward our animals with greater care. We at Christ Church believe as the classic children’s hymn states: All things bright and Beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.”

Christ Church Westshore exists to help build a great community of all people through a movement of the gospel that brings personal conversion, discipleship in community, meeting the needs in the neighborhood, and cultural renewal to the Westshore and, through it, to the world.
