Winter has a way of quieting everything down around here. The gardens rest, the cart is tucked away, and our weekends slow down just enough to let us dream about what’s next. As the days stretch a little longer, I find myself thinking ahead to Spring in Bay Village—and to Ferrari Flours, our micro-bakery and flower farm, slipping back into the rhythm of the neighborhood.
Ferrari Flours started simply. My husband Michael and I both have full careers—he’s in public service, I work in public relations, and together we’re raising three busy kids—but we wanted something that helped us unwind. Something that felt more like riding bikes until the streetlights came on than chasing notifications on our phones. Something that brought us face-to-face with our neighbors, not just into each other’s inboxes.
Flowers and bread felt like a natural place to land. Both are tactile, handmade, and meant to be shared. What began as an experiment in 2024 quickly became a weekend ritual. From Spring through late Fall, we roll out our honor-system cart, stocked with fresh-cut blooms from our backyard and bread baked in our home kitchen. It’s intentionally simple—less about apps and alerts, more about a quiet invitation to stop, linger, and say hello.
Over time, the cart grew to include dried flower bundles, edible flower salts, and saved seeds—little seasonal offerings that reflect whatever we’re working on or inspired by that week. All done with care. Ferrari Flours has become our way of bringing a bit of that analog, 90s-style living back into daily life: paying with cash, trusting the honor system, chatting on the sidewalk, and letting conversations unfold without watching the clock.
To us, Ferrari Flours is about slowing down enough to notice each other. Neighbors stopping by, kids picking flowers, and conversations sparked over a loaf of bread or a handful of blooms. In a world that often moves too fast, the cart gives us permission to pause.
As Spring approaches, we hope Ferrari Flours feels like a quiet promise—gardens coming back to life, fresh bread on the table, and community finding its rhythm again, one weekend at a time. We can’t wait to see you out there (at 422 Bradley Road)!
