Westview Celebrates 100 Days

To celebrate the 100th day of school today, our Westview Kindergarten classes participated in various 100-themed activities, including dressing up like 100-year olds! Keep growing, creating, and learning together!

Connor Lardie Selected to Compete in Irish Dance Championship

ALHS student Connor Lardie will join a select group of peers who qualified to compete in the prestigious All Ireland’s National Championships of Irish Dance in Killarney, Ireland! The elite Irish Dancing competition will take place the week of February 16th – 20th. Connor is an impressive four-time time Mid-American Regional Oireachtas Champion. The All Ireland’s National Championships will serve as an excellent opportunity for Connor as he prepares to pursue a global title this April at the upcoming World Championships in Chicago! Congratulations, Connor and all the best in the forthcoming competitions here and abroad!

Avon Lake Hockey Clinches Baron Cup II Championship

Congratulations to the Avon Lake Shoremen hockey team on clinching the Baron Cup II Championship earlier this month! The historic victory marks only the second time in school history that the Shoremen have hoisted the cup, with their last championship coming eight years ago.

ALHS Dance Team Crowned State Champions

Congratulations to the Avon Lake High School Dance Team on claiming a state title at the recent OASSA state championship tournament held in Dayton during the weekend of February 7-8, 2026. The Shoregals were the top performers in the Game Day Medium category while earning an impressive second-place finish in the Contemporary/Lyrical Large and Jazz Large categories, in addition to placing fifth in the Pom Small competition. These outstanding accolades are the culmination of hours of practice, a fierce team-first mentality, and a commitment to excellence. Congratulations once again to our ALHS Dance Team members, advisors, and choreographers for their phenomenal success at this year’s state tournament!
