Bay Village Schools Supt. Scot Prebles Receives ‘Jennings Superintendent Award of Excel-lence’

The Martha Holden Jennings Foundation extends its sincere congratulations to Superintendent Scot T. Prebles on being selected as one of four recipients of the 2026 Jennings Superintendent Award of Excellence. This award recognizes outstanding leadership, vision and the meaningful impact you have made in your district and across the broader educational community.

Each year, the Foundation recognizes one Jennings Superintendent of the Year, along with several exceptional leaders who receive the Award of Excellence.

Prebles will be recognized at the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation’s Annual Educator Awards Banquet on Thursday, July 23. The achievements of distinguished educators from across the state will be celebrated.

Prebles will receive a $1,000 check to be used toward a project or initiative within the Bay Village School District.

“I am thrilled to announce that Supt. Prebles has been selected by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation as a recipient of the 2026 Jennings Superintendent Award of Excellence,” said Bay Village Board of Education President Debbie Callihan. “To give you some context on how prestigious this is, each year, the Foundation recognizes only a handful of leaders across the entire state of Ohio who demonstrate outstanding leadership, vision and a meaningful impact on public education.”

President Callihan shared that Supt. Scot Prebles had no idea he was being nominated for the award.

“This award is based on the high esteem in which he is held by this Board of Education and his Admin Team, who together submitted his name for this honor. On behalf of the Board, I want to congratulate Scot on this well-deserved recognition. It is a testament to the hard work and 0’s and influenced everything from architecture to jewelry, furniture, and fashion design. It represented luxury, glamour, and exuberance in highly refined dedication he brings to this district every day.”
