Westlake Porter Public Library invites people of all ages to enjoy reading, activities, and fun programs this summer. The library’s annual Summer Library Challenge begins June 1 and continues through August 1. This year’s theme is “Stars and Stories,” in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary.
In addition to reading, participants can complete challenges and enjoy a variety of special programs, including the annual STEAM Week (July 20-24).
After 15 days of reading, participants earn a halfway prize, and one grand prize raffle ticket for every five days of reading. Reading for 30 days earns participants a final prize, along with additional tickets for the grand prize drawing. Participants who complete activities will earn extra grand prize drawing tickets.
Reading and activities can be tracked on logs available at the library or on Beanstack. To register for the program or access a log, download the Beanstack app or visit westlakelibrary.beanstack.org.
The Summer Library Challenge is sponsored by the Friends of Porter Public Library; the Cleveland Monsters; the Cleveland Charge; Color Me Mine; Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad; Dave & Buster’s; Dean’s Greenhouse; The Foundry; The Franklin Castle; GV Art and Design; Museum of Illusions; Music Box Supper Club; Nosotros; Ohio Renaissance Festival; Ohio State Fair; Raising Cane’s; River Colors Studio; Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; Western Reserve Historical Society; and Wild Birds Unlimited – North Olmsted.
