More Than a Community. A Good Neighbor.

At Concord Reserve, community has always meant more than what happens on our campus. It means being part of Westlake—building relationships, supporting our neighbors and creating opportunities for our residents to stay connected to the people and places around them.

That commitment can be seen throughout the year.

Recently, Concord Reserve hosted our fourth annual luncheon honoring Westlake first responders and city officials. It’s our chance to thank the people who serve our residents and the greater community every day.

In the coming weeks, residents and community members will come together again for our annual Car Show, an event that brings generations together around classic cars, conversation and a little nostalgia.

Perhaps one of the best examples of that community connection is our annual on-campus Walk to End Alzheimer’s. During the walk, residents travel through the neighboring elementary school campus, where students create signs, line the route and cheer them on.

These moments matter. They create connections across generations and remind us that Concord Reserve isn’t simply located in Westlake. We are part of Westlake.

Growing With Our Community

That sense of connection is also helping shape the next chapter of Concord Reserve.

To meet the growing needs of Ohio’s aging population, Concord Reserve is expanding with new independent-lifestyle apartment homes and amenities designed to support wellness, connection, and convenience.

The expansion will bring meaningful changes to our campus, including the removal of some of our original buildings. But even as our physical campus evolves, we’re committed to honoring the legacy that began here in 1932.

We’re also investing in spaces that will benefit more than our newest residents. Plans include a new wellness and aquatic center that will support both Concord Reserve and the broader community. We’ll transform our Welcome Center into a welcoming gathering space for residents and visitors.

Throughout the project, we’ll continue communicating with residents and our Westlake neighbors about construction, campus access and other potential impacts.

As a not-for-profit, mission-based organization, we reinvest our resources into the people, places and programs that help residents live well. We’re equally committed to something that has been part of our story for nearly a century: being a good neighbor.

Because a community doesn’t end at the edge of a campus. It grows stronger through the connections we make beyond it.
