School spirit was on display last week throughout the Avon Lake City Schools, including at Eastview Elementary!
The Homecoming Football Game began at 7 p.m. versus Olmsted Falls, with the Homecoming Court to be introduced and our King and Queen crowned before the game at approximately 6:30 p.m.
In partnership with the City of Avon Lake, the annual Avon Lake Homecoming Parade kicked off on Saturday, October 3, 10:30 a.m.
This year’s parade route was different than years past due to the construction activity on Electric Boulevard between Avon Belden Road (S.R. 83) and Bleser Park’s eastern entrance. The parade began at Avon Lake High School and traveled south on S.R. 83. ending in the Ellen Trivanovich Aquatic Center parking lot at Bleser Park.
The Avon Lake Kiwanis hosted its Fall Fest at Bleser Park immediately after the Homecoming Parade until 1:00 p.m. This was a free event the whole family enjoyed. It included pumpkin decorating, horse-drawn wagon rides, face painting, antique cars, prize raffles, and more. Proceeds from the event benefit the ALKC’s scholarship fund.
