Avon High Grads Earn $6 Million-Plus in Scholarships

Graduation for Avon High seniors was held Saturday, June 2, at Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center.

313 seniors graduated. Of those, 286 students – 91 per cent of the class – will go on to attend a college or university. Seven have elected for military duty.

The dollar amount of the scholarships Avon seniors are receiving totals $6,232,600!

The Top 5 per cent of the Class of 2018 – Bhavya Appana, Jason Budhan, Chase Fensore, Ashley Granitto, Nicole Hajdari, Mackenzie Kneiss, Kayla Manouchehri, Kevin Messerly, Sarah Perusek, John Reed, Logan Sherrill, Maxwell Smith, Robert Wagner, Kamryn Wilson, Riti Yalamanchili, and Emily Zhao.
