Avon Place Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Avon celebrated the Fourth of July in a special way – by creating special Independence Day baskets for the Avon Fire Dept. for all the department does for them.
Pictured are Betty and Pat with the 4th of July baskets several residents made for the Avon Fire Department. Mike Farina came up with this activity and assisted the group in making red, white & blue key chains for the baskets. That was only part of the Avon Place fun, however. A cookout with Burgers, Hot Dogs, and great company! And popsicles, too!
Avon Place will continue to ‘Give back’ starting July 25 until the end of the year with a Christmas in July Tree! The funky tree will be used to collect personal care items to be distributed at the Valor Home for homeless vets in Lorain later this year.
